Humanism in the renaissance began by making man the center of all things and by the 20th century it had reduced man to nothing but a collection of atoms. Morrissey is typical. Liking animals more than people he argues there's no difference between them. In reality he sees humans as worse. He would have no such anger at an animal eating another animal, only a human being eating an animal.
